JPR Cleaning Procedure

Conveyors

Our sorting conveyor, shredder in-feed conveyor, shredder discharge conveyor and granulator in-feed conveyor are cleaned as follows:

  1. All rigid materials removed by hand
  2. All belts and sidewalls blown thoroughly clean using high-pressure air.
  3. All belts and sidewalls vacuumed to ensure no cross-contamination.
  4. All belts and sidewalls inspected by technicians for any remaining contaminates.

Shredder and Granulators

Our Shredder and dual granulator system are cleaned as follows:

  1. The shredder and granulator screens are cleaned by hand, blown clean, and finally vacuumed.
  2. The granulator’s and shredder’s internal parts are all hand cleaned, blown thoroughly clean, and vacuumed.
  3. The rotary shafts are freed from all contaminants, blown clean, then vacuumed.
  4. All machine components are re-inspected by technicians to ensure maximum decontamination.

Work Area

  1. The area surrounding the complete sorting, shredding and regrinding process is swept clean.
  2. All floor-sweeps are discarded.
  3. The entire area is visually inspected to ensure no contaminates are left behind.

Final Step

  1. The final step is a purging run of plastic to ensure that the new material being processed is completely dominant in the system before being placed in the final shipping container.
